The cartoon above appeared in the New York Post based on how Jessica Simpson and her new figure are being received by the mainstream (RE: mostly white male) American Press. Once again here are the Something Screwed Crews (SSC) valiant white knights taking a shot at one of their own females for failing to meet their "quality" standards. While I am sure the SSC is taking much delight in seeing a famous white female go through a personal hardship, imagine the outcry from the SSC if a black owned media sourced dogged on a black female in such a manner.
Now it is one thing for someone to say something on a small blog, but this is the NY Post. Many people will see this and the message will filter around especially to many little girls and the message will be clear. If you are fat, you are not worthy. Do whatever and they mean whatever you have to do to be thin. The sad part is, even though she is not as svelte as she used to be, Ms. Simpson is not as obese as the image above depicts.
RealityCheck: Superficiality is not the domain of any one race of men. If the SSC wants to convince themselves that one group of men operate at a higher level of thinking then that is their own folly.

something ive tried to bring up but was never published on hp's blog.....
they complain alot about woc being hurt by ww being on a "pedestal" and how they are all trying to do things to look more like the women up there. they fail to realize that ww are affected in the same ways by the current standard of beauty. Why do so many ww dye their hair? go on diets? buy bronzers? even go under the knofe for beauty? its the SAME thing. when the standard changes all women will be trying to look more like that.
notice the way they "prove" how evil ww are? they scour the net trying to find a crime committed by a ww and post a link to it...lazy. Ive just started sending him pics from hot ghetto mess, im sure they wont be posted, my point is to what an ignorant and absurd method it is.

The way you remain intelligent and focused in your response, without stooping to their level, is just great and shows that you are a cut above them in intellect, ability to reason logically, and character... and that is the best argument of all againt the lies they are spreading.
Hey, I just have to say again thanks. I was taking a little break and I cam back and found quite a bit of activity on that one post and that you have been holding up this end of things quite well. And by the way, I am pretty sure that is Harry who is arguing with you and he keeps saying the same tired old crap. Sometimes I feel like I should ignore him, but he is the childish type who I bet would think that makes him the "winner"

Actually, I think Jessica looks good with the weight. But honestly this all is just something else for the SSC to bitch and nit-pick about.
